2008 Season Recognition: NCPreps All State: Taylor Gentry, Thomas Wilson, and Cody Lyon were named to the NCPreps All State Team.
FNFRDU All Area: Taylor Gentry, Thomas Wilson and Cody Lyon were named the the FNFRDU All-Area Team.
WRAL All Area: Taylor Gentry, Thomas Wilson, Cody Lyon, Pete Mangum, John Schmittle, Mark Walker, James Weaver, and Michael Wooten were named to the WRAL.com All-Area team. Thomas Wilson was named the WRAL.com Offensive Player of the Year.
Other Awards: Taylor Gentry was named the Cap-7 Conference Co-Player of the Year along with Jamal Williams of Millbrook and to Thomas Wilson, who was named the Cap-7 Offensive Player of the Year. In addition Taylor and Thomas, the following Leesville Road players were named All-Conference: Pete Mangum (3rd year), Cody Lyon (2nd Year), Mark Walker (2nd Year), Zach Greene (2nd year), Jeff Davidson, Michael Wooten, Enrique White, John Schmittle, and James Weaver. Tony Bunn, Robert Wallace and Kirk Lincoln were named Honorable Mention All-Conference. Quarterback Thomas Wilson has been named the News and Observer's Male Athlete of the Year. Also Kim Kern, Coach Pridgen's student trainer during football season, was named the News and Observer's Women's Soccer Player of the Year.
